How To Use

Vardenafil Softabs should be taken orally, at least 15-20 minutes before planned sexual intercourse. Either chew the tablet or let it dissolve under your tongue. By just swallowing this medication instead of chewing it or letting it dissolve, you will not achieve the desired results. Do not take more than one pill per day. Follow the instructions of your doctor exactly, even if they differ from the usually recommended dosage.

Overdose

Common potential side effects of a Vardenafil Softabs overdose include:

• Back pain
• Muscle pain
• Vision problems

If you think you have taken too much of this medication, contact your local poison control center or the emergency medical services immediately.

Missed Dose

You should only take Vardenafil Softabs when needed before planned sexual intercourse, therefore you cannot miss a dose.

Notes

Using Vardenafil Softabs does not protect you against sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, Hepatitis B, gonorrhea, syphilis).

Do not share this medication with others as they may have a condition that is not effectively treated with Vardenafil Softabs.

Storage

Store Vardenafil Softabs at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) and away from light and moisture. KEEP THIS AND ALL MEDICATIONS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Precautions

Before using Vardenafil Softabs, you should inform your doctor of your medical history, including:

• Any allergies
• Heart diseases or heart rhythm problems
• A recent history (in the past 6 months) of a heart attack, angina (chest pain) or congestive heart failure
• A recent history of strokes or blood clots
• A personal or family history of Long QT syndrome
• High or low blood pressure
• Liver or kidney diseases
• A blood cell disorder such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma or leukemia
• A bleeding disorder such as hemophilia
• A stomach ulcer
• Retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited condition of the eye)
• A physical deformity of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease)
• If you have been told you should not have sexual intercourse for health reasons

If you are currently suffering or ever have suffered from any of the above, you may not be able to take Vardenafil Softabs or you may need a dosage adjustment.

Although Vardenafil Softabs is not intended for use by women, this medication is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. It is not known, however, if this medicine passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. It is recommended to avoid all contact with this medication if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you are older than 65, you may be more sensitive to certain side effects of Vardenafil Softabs and you may need a lower dosage. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Drug Interactions

Before taking Vardenafil Softabs, you need to discuss all other medication you are currently using, especially:

• Alpha blockers such as alfuzosin (Uroxatral), doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), tamsulosin (Flomax), and terazosin (Hytrin)
• Nitrates such as isosorbide dinitrate (Isordril, Sorbitrate), isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO), nitroglycerin (Nitro-BID, Nitro-Dur, Nitroquick, Nitrostat, others) or street drugs containing nitrates (poppers)
• Amiodarone (Cordarone)
• Antifungals such as fluconazole (Diflucan), itraconazole (Sporanox), and ketoconazole (Nizoral)
• Clarithromycin (Biaxin)
• Cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune)
• Danazol (Danocrine)
• Delaviradine (Rescriptor)
• Diltiazem (Cardizem, Dilacor, Tiazac)
• Disopyramide (Norpace)
• Erythromycin (E.E.S. , E-Mycin, Erythrocin)
• Fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem)
• Fluvoxamine (Luvox)
• HIV protease inhibitors such as indinavir (Crixivan) and ritonavir (Norvir)
• Isoniazid (INH, Nydrazid)
• Medications for high blood pressure or irregular heartbeat
• Metronidazole (Flagyl)
• Other medications or treatments for erectile dysfunction
• Nefazodone (Serzone)
• Paroxetine (Paxil)
• Procainamide (Procanbid, Pronestyl)
• Quinidine (Quinidex)
• Sotalol (Betapace)
• Troleandomycin (TAO)
• Verapamil (Calan, Covera, Isoptin, Verelan)
• Zafirlukast (Accolate)

This is only a partial list and other medicines may interact with Vardenafil Softabs. Notify your doctor of all other prescription and non-prescription medication you are using, including vitamins, minerals, dietary supplements, herbal pills and medication prescribed by other doctors. Do not start or stop taking any medication without discussing this with your doctor first.

The following common side effects of Vardenafil Softabs may occur:

• Warmth or redness in the face, neck or chest
• Stuffy nose
• Headache
• Memory problems
• Upset stomach
• Back pain

The above side effects are usually mild and temporary. Contact your doctor as soon as possible if any of these effects persist or worsen.

Notify your doctor immediately if you have any of these serious but unlikely side effects:

• Sudden loss of vision
• Ringing in your ears or sudden loss of hearing
• Chest pain or heavy feeling or pain spreading to the arm or shoulder
• Nausea, sweating, generally feeling ill
• Irregular heartbeat
• Swelling of the hands, ankles or feet
• Shortness of breath
• Changes in vision
• Feeling light-headed or faint
• Erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer
• Seizures (convulsions)

Also inform your doctor straightaway if you experience any of the following serious side effects during sexual activity:

• Dizziness or nausea
• Pain, numbness or tingling in the chest, arms, neck or jaw

In rare cases, you may experience an allergic reaction to Vardenafil Softabs > seek immediate medical attention if you have any of the following symptoms:

• Rash
• Hives
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
